Let's read the lines, and then between themThe mostest goodest of mornings to you all!
Well, we got a news release... probably not what we were expecting, but news nonetheless. So, let's see what this news release is REALLY saying, shall we?
My interpretation points to "all systems go." I am seeing a company fully committed to advancing this project considerably faster than even they imagined. I read that management is on track to meet, or possibly exceed, expectations re NI 43-101 time lines. I interpret the news release to mean that our project is big - REALLY big - as they have hired not one, but TWO eminently qualified individuals to assist Akiko and Dr. Q in their endeavor to put our company on the map. My guess is that these people were hand picked by Dr. Q for their particular respective expertise and will no doubt contribute greatly to the formulation of the NI 43-101, and beyond, to feasibility.
What does this all mean for us? It means this company is for real. It means this company will spend the money to do whatever it takes to prove up our probable reserves and create shareholder value. It means that although a buyout may very well occur, they are operating as if we are going to develop this mine ourselves. Recall Scout's quick math on what that would mean for shareholders, assuming we brought this into production ourselves, and assuming the POG holds steady, over the next few years. Mind boggling returns on your investment!
This is no fly by night stock / company. This is the real deal. News releases like this speak volumes - all we have to do is continue to read between the lines to get a better understanding of the big picture.
The last few news releases have been interesting. We have learned that we are involved in Malawi now, for rare earths. We know the company is on top of the drill results and release news of same, as it comes in. We know that they are committed to hiring key personnel to assist in all of our goals. In addition to all of the above, we have JV projects with the Japanese for our Gallium play as well. And all of this for $2.50 a share. What a bargain!
My only reservation about GCU is that perhaps we don't do enough to promote to others what we have. I maintain that we really need to increase the awareness of what we have, what we're doing, and where we're headed. We need "new blood" in the mix, as I have stated in the past. Demand will help drive our share price, which will be an increasingly important issue as time goes on. The closer we move towards advancing the project towards production (which, granted, is still years away, in my opinion), the more money we will require. Like any junior, we are likely to raise the needed cash via equity offerings. This is why it is so imperative that our share price appreciates, sooner than later, so that any new private placements or other dilutive cash raising endeavors do not adversely affect current shareholders' value too much. Other than that, I think management should be commended for doing an EXCEPTIONAL job. We are very, very fortunate to have the people in place that we do, as they are all 100% committed to maximizing value. Unlike other juniors, where managmenet is basically in it to screw the small guy and grab what they can and run, GCU's management team's interests are aligned with ours.
Today's news is great. Read between the lines and you'll see just how significant these additional hires are.
Have a great day, everyone, and LONG LIVE THE GCU LONGS!
