RE: Risks An excellent summary Auingot. Couldn't have said it better. In the meantime, I'll add to your summary.
I read a short article recently, stating that Jeff Chambers, formerly of Newmont Mining, was on-site at Springpole Lake in 2009, trying to figure out the geology in the area, along with Quinton Hennigh. Apparently, both of these geologists may be connected with the Cripple Creek gold area in Colorado, and they perhaps worked together.
From 1891 to 1961, the mine produced ~21M oz of gold.
Apparently, Akiko Levinson knew of Jeff Chambers (perhaps through her husband), or perhaps Quinton had something to do with inviting Jeff to the Springpole Lake area, I’m not sure.
Also, Keith Barron wrote his thesis on the Springpole zone in 1996, indicating a ‘different’ rock type. I’d have to check his thesis, but he may have spent some time in the Cripple Creek area of Colorado.
Barron also spent a bit of time in the Bristol Twp area near Timmins, where Lake Shore Gold has their gold deposits.
Anyway, the bottom line is that the Springpole Lake gold deposit is going to be a huge open pit deposit. Not only are the ‘rocks’ similar to the Cripple Creek gold deposit in Colorado, but the lake sediment work (analysis) results by Mark Fedikow, indicates that the gold is definitely extending to the southeast.
Hopefully, the barge drills will continue to confirm this.
The above is just my DD on what I think should be a ‘huge’ gold deposit at Springpole Lake. Ontario should be so lucky to have a gold deposit like this.
