RE:RE:RE:RE:I don't see a trade resumption yet I'm not convinced this is true.
If we look back to the Halt / Resumption on November 30 / December 1st ahead of the IPF announcement the halt was issued at 16:43 after the market was closed, the announcement was made the following morning via PR, and it included the standard note that the deal was subject to TSX approval.
The resumption was issued at 12:15 on December 1st.
My understanding of halts / resumptions is as stated in the halt notifications:
"
Trading halts are implemented to ensure a fair and orderly market. IIROC is the national self-regulatory organization which oversees all investment dealers and trading activity on debt and equity marketplaces in Canada." Approvals are not, as far as I know, part of ensuring the orderly market.
