However, I think some investors, at the end of the trading day, didn't get the price they wanted, and they resort to selling off because they want out. That's not manipulation - that's just giving into the market.
Does manipulation happen? Sure, I think it does
occassionally, but not nearly as often as long investors think it does, and in my experience a run up in share price is often seen as "great price action" and a drop in share price is "manipulation". I think it's just the market doing what it does.
