Here is Mason's full assay suite.   ( Mason is aside of Berkwood ) NOU closeby.
If one is to calculate 100% of all mineral constituents of a deposit,
does each assay sample result in 100% ?

Add up all the weights of ( 1 ) assay line
Total % weight of minerals listed + LOI ( loss on ignition / oxygen ) = 100%

Yet... why are Graphitic Carbon, Carbon and Sulphur not in the assay roster ?
If they were... Another 30% of elements would be tacked on.
= 130%

Sulphur when burned turns to gas AND Sulphur oxide
Sulphur oxide weight should be seen in assay roster... but it's not.

Graphitics - too broad of a term.

Carbon when burned turns to, carbon gas and carbon black.

Labs most likely would use oxygen flame induced fires.
Thus... much of the carbon would go up in smoke.
Soot black carbon that remains - carbon content.

If accurate.
A junior would be wise to peform a second firing test using a special furnace
that heat the specimen and uses no oxygen allowing the carbon to remain in mass
and not release in, co2 gas smoke.

Tis interesting how aluminum offers up 3 electrons and carbon 4.
Aluminum with activated carbon = Aluminum Carbide  power of 7 free electrons
= BEST
