I’m in total disagreement with your point of view about summertime releases. The world does not come to an end at the start of May and the get re-born again in Oct. There are plenty of examples of stocks that double and triple during the summer months.
Why GMA has not released an updated resource seems to be beyond the grasp of most retail investors and in my opinion the lack of news regarding this important update has created a sell off. As an investor, I for one do not appreciate management’s handling of my investment or the “dog ate my homework” attitude regarding the tardiness in releasing the updated 43-101. “Those who do, do. Those who can’t do make excuses.” How on God’s green earth did management not know key people to the update would be away on vacation? Don’t people go on vacation every summer? Wouldn’t it be the responsibility of a good management team to have taken into account vacation schedules before telling the world when they would release the update?
I don’t know what I’d prefer, a management team that makes up a story to cover up a missed timeline, or a management team that is so inept that it doesn’t take into account something as simple as vacation schedules into their business planning. When it comes to missed timelines I only except the death or serious illness of a loved one or some other catastrophic event as a valid reasons for being late, everything else is just an excuse
