it's still worth the original $2000
Can't go by what the ask price says it is worth or what the last sale went for,,For proper valuation of the stock you need to go by what you know you can get for it...ie the bid price.
The ask is a price you can hope to get and anywhere in between the bid and ask woud be your profit range (if you can sell them in there somewhere).
But you may not get an offer so until the bid raises above what you paid for them your stock is still worth only what you paid for it... ie--the bid price
