The Mile High Club

I spent the weekend trying to figure out how to value GPG and decided a good place to start would be to compare it to other out performers. I have to say, I saw a lot of companies with little more than hype trading higher. How do you value GPG? $/oz? Potential? Dollars per oz came in about average at ~50$/oz not counting potential. As far as potential, there where only a few that stood a decent chance of bagging an elephant. Compared to NUG, both have elephant potential. GPG has a resource and what has all the looks of the tail of an elephant in their hand and has less of a market cap. Do you compare it to Fosterville South?? They are elephant hunting but are still poking at tracks in the dirt and look at their valuation. GPG was a standout of the Mile High Club

A secondary goal of looking at about 40 of the recent out performers was to see what was the driver of their spike ups. Most had spikes/BO's on June 22nd or a day or two after when gold broke out. There where some moving on news but best I can tell, it was short term traders moving into some of the explorers for leverage. There are a lot of TA guys calling for a pullback in gold and the short ...more

If you look at the gold chart there is a clear trend over the last 5 weeks which started with golds breakout. Price is presently in the third cycle of an up and sideways pattern. Very positive action! The dollar continues to tank. Very positive action!  What are those TA guys thinking? RE: the herd.....I guess its the nature of the market i.e. its relatively small. Wow!  That was one weak bounce. The $ closed on the low of the day. The last level of support is 95-94.  After that....look out below!! Nothing till 90!  When the dollar fails at 94 Gold will take out $2000.

I'd like to pull my usd.cad hedge but looks like the loonie is trying to out pace the usd to the down side lately.
