Just a thought...

There is a massive coin shortage here in the states. Signs are up at checkouts all over the place saying exact change only and please sell us change. I've heard a lot of theories such as people hoarding them to people melting them down because of melt value and many others that are even less believable. People hear couldn't care less about coins. Almost no one uses change and that was was before the economy crashed. I doubt enough people are holding coins to make them instantly disappear. Same goes for scrapping them. I had a thought... What if the treasury department quietly recalled them knowing a MASSIVE dollar devaluation was in the works. One that would make it make sense to scrap coins. Also, if people aren't spending as much and not using cash when they do then they aren't getting change back either. If anything, I'd expect a shortage of hundred and twenty dollar bills from people keeping more cash "under the matress". Same thing with the robin hood day trade excuse. I don't buy the story of a bunch of 20 year olds with there 1200 dollar stimulus checks ...more

Me thinks it's no more than an effort to introduce us into a cashless society. Hell they've trampled on individual rights so bad already, why not? Can't say as I can blame them...... just trying to see how far they can get before pushback......that's what commies do. Best longs S
