I see what you mean JMK, I have never shorted a stock myself but on the other side, it is sometimes fun to make money during a short squeeze. It goes both ways. When shorter a so convinced that sometihing is falling apart when it is not, you can make a lot.

There is a difference between naked short and short.

Have you read the book "reminiscences of a stock operator"? Quite fun and instructive.
