Alistair has been running the projects for the past two years and deserved the promoton - if GQC didn't give him a CEO position someone else would have. Hall is better off as Chairman, which is the official head of the company but doesn't require him to deal with day to day stuff.
Drilling and labs have been slow but that is all anyone knows. You can hardly call it a scam when management goes out of their way to explain the hole was not true width - if you don't understand the company and were too lazy to read past the headline on the release, thats not their problem.
