TSX Venture Exchange

TSX Venture ExchangeOne of the major problems we are seeing with the Venture Exchange is the unwinding of the bull market in Uranium, AND THE PERVASIVE INFLUENCE OF PINETREE CAPITAL, SHELDON IWENTASH AND MEGA URANIUM. There are rumours that there are margin problems in the market at this time and anyone who has checked has seen that there has been a short position building in both Pinetree and Mega over the last 6 months. The market volatility that the bond market has experienced has given the shorters a perfect scenario to pound Mega and Pinetree-Mega at $3.50 has lost over $200 million in market cap in 2 days and I would think Pinetree is about the same. The TSE should have seen this coming-this is your classic house of cards built on a foundation of speculation and Jim Dines Newsletters-not your best of asset structures. How many junior exploration companies does Pinetree have an investment in? 100, 200, 300!! Now we are seeing a number of them getting badly mauled, Santoy, Longview Capital and on and on. My feeling is that Pinetree and Mega may be selling the juniors and I suspect there is is naked shorting of these stocks by the same guys who are short Mega and Pinetree. In regard to the shorting, has anyone noticed that TD securities and Anonymous appear to be the major sellers of all these "down" deals. Does anyone know who or why TD is the swing trader in all deals with big volume? Is this a big US Hedge fund that is manipulating these small cap resource deals?? It sure looks like it. In the case of GQC the stock traded 19 + million shares in the $1.50 range in 2 days June 6 and 7 2007, between Anonymous and TD they accounted for 13 million shares of the volume. I am not saying there is anything wrong with buying or selling stock but if is all being done by one entity, they are in a positon to manipulate the market. The TSE or the Globe & Mail need to look into this and give investors a true picture of what is going on. Remember the old chestnut that is the supposed basis of the securities market?-"True, full and timely disclosure of all material information" I don't think we're getting that as investors-do you?
