MoreI have received several emails about this GQC problem . One of them telling me this is a Prez problem.
In no way is this a Federal problem , it is all about the locals and a well funded opposition to this company goals . make no mistake , the Prez and his cabinet support mining . And while he has not signed the permit , many of his Ministers have supported and recommended GQC getting its license .
Why would his own Ministers publically go against the Prez ? They have not . Because the Prez supports mining BUT, , he is a politician . And he wants votes and popularity .
So he has asked the GQC board and its supporters to inform , educate and support the locals .
Thats another point . A year and a half ago here , I asked people not to criticize the politicians or Dominicans on social media . You may recall I said they are a proud people that care not about money in the sense of greed . We all want a better life , but our lifes are not there lifes .
Im sure you notice our CEO , Luis Santana , has never called anyone a liar or ignorant . And neither should any of us . Misinformed yes . But be sure if social media people call Dominicans liars , and you are a foreigner , they will not let you in , pure pride .
I guess what Im saying is please support the mine .Please correct the wrongs as you see them . But do it with politeness and kindness , just as our CEO is doing .
We will all win in the end , and teaching them the truth with facts and kindness means alot in this country .
And you can help Luis by following that path .
All the above was confirmed by Jeff Wilson today in the Crux interview . Jeff Wilson did not go to the DR and with suspended operations beside GQC , call them thieves , liars , crooks , or any other negative term .
