You're welcome to your utopian view of the internet, but I suspect you'll find it's not shared by many people, as is evidenced by the fact virtually everyone posts online anonymously. If you want to tilt at windmills, taking wild guesses about the identities behind posts, that's your prerogative. As someone invested in the company, I'd much prefer the ceo stay far away from possible slander or libelous statements, that may come back to hurt the ceo, the company, and its shareholders. To be clear, that is in no way a threat of any kind.
I've posted on several boards, but don't think I've often given out advice. I've asked questions, and have posted my thoughts on statements. I believe I've mentioned several times on different boards, that I'm no financial wizard, by any means. I think the only "advice" I've given is for you to stop engaging with trolls, and to stop behaving like a troll yourself. If you were just posting updates, it'd be commendable that you do so using your actual name, etc. On the other hand, the fact you use your name and position to take wild guesses about poster's identities and to post supposed information about their potential past, is cause for concern, as it leaves the ceo of the company vulnerable to the very legal processes you've threatened several posters with.
your job is to run the company, and I think most of us appreciate the way you do that. Your job is not to play internet cop or public forum detective. Or, if you insist on doing that, at least ensure you've got your facts straight. You've already called out that Doug guy incorrectly. Just let it go.
It's embarrassing anyone on this board gets so huffy about the silliness roadapples posts. Presumably, we're all adults. It's actually worrisome to me, that the ceo himself gives it any credence. Grow up. This is the type of thing people teach their children about the internet.
i have no desire to share my name with you, or anyone on this board, and that privacy is my right. Nobody should be "outing" anyone on these boards. Nor should they have to, because as adults, they should be making decisions for themselves, not based on ambiguous anonymous postings.
