And now that Sage Ranch has the green light, I go back to something you mentioned over a year ago. And that is the simple fact that people are leaving the big cities and moving to smaller, and cheaper places to live. But there is also the crime factor. In our area, the big cities are being overrun by meth-heads doing stupid petty crimes, and more serious criminals doign even worse. Our small city is really safe in comparison, which is a big draw for many.
While I don't know the crime stats in Tehachapi, one thing I do know is that it is a lot easier for the police to control crime in a city/town where they know all of the bad actors. I imagine Tehachapi is no different.
