Ask at $1.05 looks fake

The same 4500 share ask was there last night at a different price, looks like someone is trying to hold the share price down. But the bid is rising, so that won't work.

Why would anyone try to hold the share price down? There are virtually no short sellers here. The most recent number for short positions that I can see is just 2,000 shares: Symbol Issue Name Shares Net Change Date $GRB.V GREENBRIAR CAPITAL CORP. 2,000 1,160 31 Aug 2023

I have seen buyers put up fake asks in an effort to convince nervous nellies to sell into their larger buy orders. It doesn't often work, but they try anyway. JMO
