The emotional posts have spiraled out of control...

At this point, it doesn’t really matter whether you’re bashing or pumping, investments are not supposed to be an emotional decision. They’re supposed to be made analytically. One extreme just feeds the other, and neither is providing value to the conversation anymore.

Both sides have valid arguments sprinkled within their rants but everybody’s to busy bickering to figure out who’s right instead of what’s accurate.

From the bashers side:
  • Jeff can be aggressively optimistic
  • Timelines have a track record of being extremely unreliable
  • And the company has pivoted focus on various projects throughout the years
From the pumpers side:
  • Insiders own over 20% of the outstanding shares
  • There is a tightly held share structure
  • Downward price trends have been based on very low volume, so the the same price action can strongly be asumend on the upside when demand/volume increases.(see above point on tightly held share structure)
  • We are on the cusp of Sage Ranch approval which holds huge upside potential for MC and Share price. (especially when you consider our current market cap of under 29 million CAD.)
  • And to be taken with a grain of salt because this is subjective not objective: But something convincingly persuaded Chris Harvey that invresting his time and tying his reputation to GRB was a worthweile descision.

All of this to simply say ....  none of us hold a crystal ball. We don’t know what this is going to do.

After my personal and extensive DD throughout the course of my position. I see more upside than downside. It is not that I’m oblivious to the cons, rather it is that I can see that the potential upside outweighs them based on my research and risk tolerance.

I see things leveraged in a way that the upside is not mereley 2x ROI but rather could be as high as 10x ROI. So I'm willing to assume the risk knowing that the annualized returns will be worth it if I am correct and also that I can stomach the loss if I am incorrect.

Whether it's Blue-Chip or Small-Cap, investing in individual stocks is inherently risky. If you’re not risk adverse, you should just invest your money in the S&P 500 for a conservative annualized growth rate of  7 to 10%

But if you want to swing for the fences, you have to acknowledge the inherent risks and accept responsibility for your decision. If it was easy and stress-free to make 200% or 400% or even 1000% returns over the course of 3-5 years everyone would be doing it.

Fallen, that was a reasonable post with a well-balanced argument. Yes, these high-risk stocks can have big payouts in the end. But I am not so sure about the potential for a 10-bagger here, as even the most bullish view on Sage Ranch wouldn't support that kind of return. I am assuming that Montalva is dead, which at this point is a pretty reasonable assumption. Thanks for posting.
Comment by Fallenph0enix on Apr 23, 2024 1:52pm
You're absolutely correct that Sage ranch alone couldn't result in a 10-bagger even from the current suppressed share price. I can't fault you for being sceptical about the outcome on Montalva. However, until that's confirmed as dead in the water, it is still a possibility that holds massive upside potential. There is still information that needs to come to light in regards ...more

Fair enough. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. It is your money, can't fault you for being optomistic. At least you are honest. Take care

We don't have to be in agreement, like you said everybody is entitled to their own opinion, my entire point is that I wanted a dialogue. so to force my opinion onto anybody else would just be hypocritical. of course, I'm still bullish. Otherwise I would've pulled my investment by now, but I can see both sides of the coin. Take care

'I am assuming that Montalva is dead, which at this point  is a pretty reasonable assumption.' A couple weeks ago the bashers were up in arms that they couldn't Google and find any info regarding the on-going negotiations between the government of PR and a public company. Personally I have never seen a government  or a public company make public updates about on-going ...more

You nailed it Hubble.   Amazing how these bashers all come out the month ground breaking is meant to take place.   While it didn't happen, many other things have not happened and the frequency of ignorant bashing was less.   This tells me good things are on the horizon

Settle down Hubbie and take a pill. Stop reading things that aren't there.  Read it slowly.  I said I googled Montalva and the only references to the Montalva solar project I could find came from GRB.  I never said anything about reporting negotiations.  Montalva's a real long shot for a lot of reasons.
Comment by Hubbie87 on Apr 24, 2024 1:32am
Pretty condescending aren't ya? What are those reasons Ripple that montalva's a long shot?  How do you know the status of the negotiations?  Let's see specifically 'a lot of reasons'.

no position but the "basher points" are not bashes they are facts  From the bashers side: Jeff can be aggressively optimistic Timelines have a track record of being extremely unreliable And the company has pivoted focus on various projects throughout the years

You are correct. Like I said, each side has valid points.  all of those points are completely valid and factual but the fact remains that they are typically used by people that are actively bashing the stock and letting their emotions get involved or pairing them with personal attacks at the CEO and other shareholders, rather than merely addressing these factual frustrations.
