For that price they must really, really want this guy. Many-years star boss of Fairfax. My guess regarding this? (1) Imagine opposition wins Venezuelan election (looking more plausible every day); (2) GRZ gets its interest in Siembra Minera restored--some elements negotiated (Rivett would be valuable for that); (3) GRZ later negotiates the sale of itself to some world-class mining company

Many here have historically made a big to-do about the need to reach out to institutional investors. Having Rivett on the board will, I suspect, go a long way toward getting Bay Street attention. Big-$$ people will see this and immediately wonder, what the hey-ho is this GRZ that we've never heard of?

Gold Reserve must know having Paul Rivett on the team will serve very well that there could be a takeover in the future as crunch time approachs(July 15th). Then the declaration of Amount & higgest bidder.This leads to my opinion there will be a takeover in the future.
