Wow!Wow!
Dyment never cease to impress me with his dynamic approach to business strategies. I remember many years ago when Blackberry decided to get out of the Cell hardware business and John Chen the CEO took over the software company and got rid of the hardware. If you look into the QNX software by Blackberry it was introduced to one car manufacturer at first and today it is in 170,000,000 vehicles world wide.
So to me Dyment is lining up all his ducks slowly and he clearly has vision not only for hardawre but for software that helps all his customers become better operators which in returns they will purchase more and more services. Signing up a $2M contract with the #1 bus dealer in the USA might not be a big deal to the day traders of late here on this BB but for a long term holder like myself that loves a company that manages the future for long term growth. It is important to me. More and more it is becoming very clear to me, GSI has similar vision to Blackberry of many years ago but at that time John Chen was backed by a longterm shareholder named Fairfax financial holding specifically by Prem Watsa.
Back then we all thought Blackberry was a dead duck due to competition from Samsung/Nokia/ Apples/Motorola and others. I can see clearly that GSI is strategically positioning itself away from some of their major competition. They are creating a distinctive market position for them to grow slowly on the short terms but grow by leaps and bounds in a few years from now. Look at Blackberry today!
GSI is focussing on the concept of communication and knowledge for its customers so they become more successful handling Problems, Safety issues, Lawsuits, Streamlining process by increasing knowledge and facts analysis.
Like many on this BB, I believe in the long term viability of this company and I will support our Ceo's approach to business. I said it before slow and steady wins the race, so I am very happy to see the price slowly creeping up because when the stock price grows too fast, it becomes an invitation to momentum investors and day traders and I could not careless about what they have to say but I wish to take this opportunity to thank the many long term holders of GSI for their valuable contribution on this BB.
