RE:RE:Vancouver Island adds cameras to bus fleet. @ronron It's nice to see the product line getting noticed! I have personally witnessed drivers pass school buses in my local area and as a parent the issue really hits home. I have presented this issue to our local school board so hopefully they follow suit.
I liked the comment of federal funding in Canada being available for school districts as this will help out with new contracts going forward
"Installation of the cameras cost approximately $150,000 and was funded through the federal government's "safe return to class" fund."
It's great to see another local school district come on board, this goes to show the team at Gatekeeper is doing an outstanding job advertising the products like @ronron pointed out.
On a side note * there have been 22 school days since spring break so that's roughly 1 citation per day. I am unsure how many cameras were used to calculate that number. It will be interesting to see the number of citations per camera per day. Citations in that area are $368 as mentioned in the video.
