Gatekeepers New member

Hello all,

I am long on  GKPRF  I have been buying for the past 4 months.  I noticed the pull back last 2 weeks.  I even discussed GKPRF with the  CEO.  I did some  DD and found a pod cast by the name  Keystone??  Their experts claimed that GKPRF has a history of lumpy  earnings and they raised a concern if the positive earnings could continue.  Keystone appears to be from Canada.  I think they overlooked the  CEO insider buys and that GKPRF is becoming a data storage company rather than a camera installer..  They refer to that as  Platform as a service (PaaS).  Has anyone any idea why the stock has pulled back other than what I mentioned and profit taking?

Thanks

There has been no news releases or reports that give reason for a pullback. In my opinion, gatekeeper share price is very cheap at the moment. Welcome to the board, Cheers!

Perhaps some sellers abide by target prices that were set forth and sell at or near those levels.  For example the .69 SmallCaps target, or the .40 target (upside of .20 to price of .20 or so) given by Bob McWhirter. Keep in mind those targets are given with available information at that time.  New OEM bus contracts or a flurry of school bus contracts were not known at the time those ...more

On the pullback, it makes no sense unless it's one of two things; doubt about the SEPTA contract (not likely) or a supply disruption in the cameras as a result of U.S. restrictions on surveillance equipment just announced. JMO with a sizable long position for a while.

I dom't think its a supply issue because the company uses Sony equipment plus they have  manufacturing facilities in the US. The way I see it, small nanotech companies with no institutional interest are driven by company NR's and all the buying is by us retail investors. So obviously if GSI runs out of NR's and retailers run out of cash then the shorts can do what they want. Risky ...more

You have to bear in mind that covid has resulted in about half a million people opening new trading accounts. They are mostly bored youth who are looking to make a fast buck. As such, they are not investors but gamblers who are drawn to stocks purely on momentum. Forget fundamentals, they will ride the wave and then if they're lucky, jump off as soon as it crests. As mentioned, volume has ...more

You said: "As mentioned, volume has decreased as there haven't been any NRs for a few weeks..." As a reminder: July 6: NR announcing blowout Q3 July 9: NR pre-announcing blowout Q4 July 14: NR announcing crucial OEM with IC Bus for Paas systems to be delivered to 6th largest school bus fleet in the United States. The last two weeks have been rather busy with NR's, I would say. ...more

Exactly my frustration. Like we have a bunch of limbically driven adolescent boys here. So much right in front of their nose yet they create absolutely absurd stories and distractions. So much emotional masturbation. I feel icky.

I would agree with your comments. There are always MOMO players out there who will trade for a quck profit, perhaps exaggeratated by first time "Robin Hood" traders who opened accounts during COVID to try something new.

Welcome to the phone book, enjoy your 5:00pm duct cleaning calls and declarations that you've won a Westjet vacation! As the success of GSI raises the company's profile, we will get flooded with "shorters" trying to bash and destroy the message board. It really sucks. VERY annoying. The goal is to take any sensible, positive news about the company, and fill the board with ...more
