Fiar Value

Morningstar's take on GSI has given it  a .35/share value.  Based on 91.4 million ourstanding shares that would translate into $32 Million for the value of the company.  Tough to realize that number if the company was sold maybe.  ?

should read "Fair" value..... as you likely determined. :)

 Back in the old days, 15 times earnings was considered fair value. After the GFC and with interest rates at 0%, the 15 times P/E ratio was thrown out the window. Now, 0% interest rates are in the rear view mirror and we need to look at things differently.  If the company can sustain $2m or higher in net income going forward, then a $30 million market cap would represent fair value. The year 2000 Sun Micro Systems share price reaches $258. 2001/2 it crashed, eventually bought out by Oracle at $9.50 a share or just over $5 Billion 7 years later. Fast forward 2023, similar high valuations then crashes. Investors not as shell shocked as the year 2001 but certainly pouring over companies financials. The best ones will get bought up by the large ones that survived and increase ...more
