The world needs Gatekeeper.... Toronto certainly does

Two teenagers are dead after they were struck by an UP Express train in Toronto’s west end on Monday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the tracks west of Bloor GO station, near Eglinton Avenue West and Weston Road, around 10 p.m. for reports of someone being struck by a train.

Police later confirmed that a second victim was located. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A police source tells CityNews the victims are a teenage boy and a teenage girl.

Investigators are still working to determine why the pair were on the tracks at the time of the collision, but a source says the collision appears to be a case of “misadventure.”
