RE:The Juniorsblack, figuring out this evironmentally friendly cavern tech will be a major win for not only Saskatchewan and its residents, but also on a global scale as there are many 3rd world communities sitting on thin, shallow, high grade deposits that could benefit greatly from producing their own affordable potash without damaging their eco-surroundings.
That is my hope, but the biggest hurdle will be getting past errogance and egos, as corporations kick the can down the road.
You mention "Considering how long it has taken Gensource to be where they are", but where exactly are they black? After 10 years of promotion, are they any further ahead of recently formed Evolution Potash?
I might be wrong, but I think there will only be one downhole technique that will prove economically viable, with possible slight variations / tweaks once production is proven.
When I mention the other juniors in this field, it is because they all have equally as experienced people as Gensource, so what a massive amount of brain power to draw from to get this tech perfected.
Buffalo / Continental Potash - Mr Steve Halabura
Beechy Potash - Mr Harvey Haugen
Evolution Potash - Mr Bradley Fettis
All of these industry household names and their teams have decades of experience in the potash industry, and in fact Beechy / PADCOM have already built a shoe string budget horizontal selective solution mine cavern on the flagship Russell property.
The truth is, drilling a budget friendly proof of concept cavern can be completed for a couple million dollars, which would eliminate all doubts, so whats the hold up when considering the global significance of a viable / economical new tech selective solution mine?
I think Western answered that question if rumors are true that their cavern dissolution science needs reworking to produce potash, after dropping mega bucks on their phase 1 project.
Another lesson learned may be that before you build a $200 million + production facility, it might be prudent to make sure the downhole cavern work is perfected and producing without any doubts first.
Lessons learned and for the benefit of not only Saskatchewan but the planet, I really hope all of these guys get together, put any differences aside, and come up with a creative scientific solution to get this past the drawing board stage!
If that occurs, everyone wins!
