Putting the last hole in context

Putting the last hole in contextThe new drill results are great.

In 2015 and 2016 drilling at North Dark Star the team hit intercepts of:

- 149 metres of 1.38 grams per tonne gold
- 157 metres of 1.51 grams per tonne gold
- 97 metres of 1.61 grams per tonne gold
- 21 metres of 1.90 grams per tonne gold

Next came the big hit of 126 metres of 3.95 grams per tonne gold which nearly doubled the share price.

Prior to this monster hole and this year's drill program, the average drill intercept based on grade and thickness at North Dark Star was 105 metres at a grade of 1.58 grams per tonne gold.

Based on the six holes now, the average grade in all significant drill intercepts is 1.97 grams per tonne gold, an INCREASE of nearly 20% from the grades of last year's drill program of 1.58 grams per tonne gold.

DS16-03B extends the deposit another 120 metres south from the recent high-grade hole last week.

The deposit's strike length at North Dark Star is now nearly 300 meters. This hole was a big hole as it would be a problem if this hole came up firing blanks. Instead the hole has shown continuity of the above average grades and 150% higher grades than the Main Dark Star deposit.

This hole lends very good possibility that Main Dark Star and North Dark Star are one large deposit with a strike length of well over 1 kilometre.

The most important holes now are DS16 - 06 and DS 16- 04. DS 16-04 could extend the strike length 200 metres to the north and DS 16 - 06 will be the most important to see if the two deposits to in fact connect as one larger deposit.

Things are still very early here but thus far it's looking like North Dark Star is significantly higher grade than Main Dark Star.

Main Dark Star had a 600 metre strike length with 300 metre widths and holds roughly 400,000 ounces of gold at 0.5 grams per tonne gold.

North Dark Star currently has a proven strike length of 400 metres, nearly 300 metre widths and an average grade of 1.6 - 1.8 grams per tonne gold.

Based on a deposit of a similar size and nearly triple the grade, North Dark Star could easily hold 1 million + ounces on its ounce without any new discoveries. This would confirm my belief that the Dark Star zones on their own (MINUS ANY NEW DISCOVERIES) will likely hold nearly 1.5 million ounces.

If the discoveries continue, this could easily be a 2.5+ million ounce deposit.

All we want to see as investors is intercepts continue to come in at the 1.00 + gram per tonne gold range and preferably above 1.5 grams per tonne gold.

The monster hole of 2 weeks ago put us on the radar of majors but we can't expect every hole to hit like that. Anything in the 2 gram per tonne gold range and over is a huge bonus.
