The Aureport Interview with Dave MThis is the report I was mentioning yesterday. It is older, but it goes into high resolution detail on each area and the geology and opportunities of each play. Mac has taken over for Dave as GSV has moved into a more advanced stage of its lifecycle, but it is undeniable that Dave Matheson is one of the legends of Nevada exploration. I particularly enjoy the information on Bald Mountain and the high likelyhood of a massive Au,AG,Copper body within the Bald Mountain area. See page 8 of the report.
This document puts into perspective how many targets and the exceptional geology the Railroad district represents. To put together this land package and now to be moving forward on such a huge drill program is massive for shareholders. The drill results so far are jaw dropping, and don't kid yourself, a few holes may come in sparse as they do larger step outs and wildcats, but exploration is like a puzzle. Just because the piece doesn't fit, doesn't mean the picture won't get put together. The 400 meter step out at North Bullion still hit low amounts of gold but it reinforced the NNW trend of high grade, and also showed the connection to Pinion miles to the south. Core holes are very important to the geologic modelling and trending.
I was recently told a story about some of the early drilling done at Cortez Hills, one of Barrick's massive mines in Nevada. Several holes right in the middle of the main ore body came up barren, zero results. They adjusted, kept at it, and now the size of that body is legendary. It produced about 1,000,000 ounces of gold last year at costs of roughly $600/ounce and reserves are just over 11,000,000 ounces with plenty of upside left.
Welcome to the Carlin, your Railroad awaits you!
