Its been speculated on for many years there lies the makings of a gold mine or three and at least 1 pge mine under the northern waters of Lk Superior between the Hemlo and Schrieber. Google up ogs map 2665 and follow the geological trend. Pay particular close attention to the Slate Island geology. Gold is where it is . There may be more of it deep down at Schrieber than at the Hemlo or there may be less. There may be much more yet still near surface. The area is still too under drilled yet to determine how much gold is there.
