Standalone Legislation Pass This Session?I think so. Let's consider the situation here for a moment because it is actually quite simple. The democrats have secured 51 seats in the new senate, the republicans took the house and the democrats have the oval office. All the democrats need is one more vote in the senate and safe banking can pass. ONE more vote. Now within this aura of pessimism that might seem so difficult but think about the facts I just posted above. Moving into the new session the democrats and republicans *must* work together to get anything done. And America is in a crisis right now so cooperation is paramount. There are republicans that want legislation passed in the new session, so now is a good time to bargain for the future. Who are they bargaining with? Schumer - the democrat Senate leader. He has so much bargaining power right now and he has made this a personal priority. So all of these factors makes me think that he can secure one vote from a GOP senator. If people are fleeing the sector then so be it. To each their own. Seems like the bears win yet another round but the bull will return with a vengeance.
