Hive's Top Share Price

It is an interesting conversation below around whether Hive's share price could ever reach $5.

I have to admit I am surprised to hear people say no - I honestly believe there's a hidden agenda there. There are people that are predicting Ethereum could within 5-10 years hit $25,000. Now, sure we don't know what proof of stake will ultimately do too miners, but if things remained constant in terms of how many coins we acquire per year and production costs, this stock is going to be worth WAY more than $5.

Ethereum hit $1,400 during the last bull run and is expected to exceed it. So what if it hit $5,000? What would Frank do with that cash flow to make more?

We should be thinking in the hundreds of dollars per share if Bitcoin and Ethereum ever start to hit market caps in the trillions. The number of outstanding shares plays a role, but that doesn't mean that Hive has some sort of narrow limit.

lol well sure 10 years from now maybe it could be $5 if Etherum sky rockets in the next decade. Im talking more short term to medium term price targets. but as mentioned $5 a share would mean HIVE is valued at around 1.7 Billion, and the price of bitcoin and etherum are a long way away from the highs required for that. -Bac0n

Nope - Bitcoin and Ethereum prices are not far away from that at all. If you do the math, Ethereum needs to be at a price of around $1,000 for a year (keeping production costs and mining numbers similar) plus a reasonable P/E ratio of 20x earnings in order for Hive to get to $5 per share.  It's just math at that point - anyone of us can do it.  $1,000 for Ethereum over the next ...more

This thread of conversation is definitely a very positive approach to take as far as the future of HIVE is concerned. My only question is this....and only each individual knows the true answer so not looking to see people's answer....and this is it... HOW MANY PEOPLE HERE TODAY THINK THEY COULD HONESTLY HANG ON TO THEIR HOLDINGS UNTIL THIS HITS $5 ? I honestly don't know if I would ...more

Hahaha, 45 that's the age-old quandary isn't it - when to bail. Fear vs. greed! If you're staring a million bucks in the face - I'd lock 'er in. I've ridden too many up and back down, thinking its just a blip, it'll come back...some do, sometimes quickly, sometimes in years, but many never do.

Storck...thats exactly my quandry....happened to me many years ago with a company called INT....was staring at 500K profit...and then the slide started....and then the avalanche....and in the end i never cashed in like i should have....oddly enough I was 45 yrs old at the time...lol Best of luck to all Hive holders !!

Long time lurker on this BB, first time poster, bought 3000 shares of HIVE 3 yrs ago with my fun money at $3.25 and saw shares double and obviously deflate significantly soon after. Tried catching a falling knife a few times (lesson learned), took a big leap of faith in January and doubled my position at .19. Overall cost ave of about 46 cents with about 125K shares. Lets all enjoy this current ...more
