The constraint of the blockchain is that it consumes vast amounts of power. The data is out there. The more HIVE grows the more power it will consume. If it doesn't grow then the power it consumes will be relevant to how ever many miners its using.

If all transactions globally are done on the chain it will require what all the energy we presently consume today.

Its not a feeling.
