Realistic Price Targets

Give me some actual REALISTIC price targets over the next 3 months.
back it up with math. and if your math consists of "well if Eth goes to 3500 USD" .. then please just stop right there.

if you are projecting a $16 target price, please don't even respond. Just go flush your money down the toilet and save yourself some time.

but for all other fact based opinions please respond.

thanks!

why would anybody do that you are already putting a limit on the cap, why couldn't Hive be a 5 billion doller company, I say it can. You explain why it can't.
Comment by Bac0n on Dec 03, 2020 1:15pm
ok I will play by your logic, here we go.  the price of oil is down right now, but world war 3 could break out tomorrow, causing an oil shortage. and creating a HUGE demand for oil. Oil could go to $500 dollars a barrel! in conclusion buy lots of oil stocks. does that seem reasonable to you? ANY company could be a billion dollar company, doesnt mean they will be.  Price targets are ...more

Had to respond to this ridiculous post too. Price targets are based on estimates of the future - that's why they're targets. They literally have to be - who in their right mind would try and estimate the future thinking that nothing will change? Especially when crypto has incredible variance, Hive is amping up their mining - who would ignore that? So frustrating to deal with people that ...more

Ok you said one thing there that made sense.  "HIVE is ramping up their mining" GREAT! u actually made a valid point, lets take it a step further. what is HIVE's current mining rate? and what is their target mining rate? how many Eth do they mine now in a quarter? compare to when they ramp up? how much will that raise their revenues? see how that works?  not, "Oh ...more

Does anyone else actually think that the price of Ethereum and Bitcoin will never change? I mean this Bacon person seems to operate under that assumption, but they're getting fried left and right.
Comment by Bac0n on Dec 03, 2020 1:39pm
lol you must be trolling, I refuse to believe you could be this stupid. I am here and invested in HIVE because I DO believe Eth and BTC will go up. yes. Do I believe they are going up 400% .. uhh maybe?.. but thats a price target of $3.25. (which is still a great target based on currently prices!) but when you venture into your $16 dollars and $5 dollar price targets. I have no clue what you are ...more

You literally have provided nothing in numbers. You don't speak in facts - how can you possibly say that when you're predicting the future, which is therefore not a fact.  At least I've proved it's possible. You - nothing. Zero.  You are like the poster boy for the Dunning-Kruefer effect.

After your mom jokes, think you lost everyone's respect. Ego is one thing, we all have it. But childish jokes is just stupid.
Comment by Bac0n on Dec 03, 2020 1:17pm
oh no my mom jokes lost me the respect of the strangers on a stockhouse board. my life is over. just trying to have actual REAL fact based discussion, but instead like most boards unfortunately. its all cr@p, TrumpSavage talks about "blood baths" and so and so fourth. attempting to scare people into selling to buy back in. and other posts talk about $16 price targets, because they are ...more

ok AlphaJ, please forgive my rude 1980's mom jokes. Please enlighten me with your short term (next 3 - 6 months) price targets for HIVE. -Bac0n

what do I know, im just a stupid engineer. All I understand is, to me. Crypto to money is what email is to mail service. I see the future is here and this tech looks legit. But my rough guess is $5 @ 50k BTC minimum
Comment by BIGCHILL on Dec 03, 2020 1:33pm
if the price of ETh was at $400 when the last financials were done and mining cost 300 a coin profit was $100 a coin , now at 600 profit will be $500 so basically 3 x as miningcost the same at 400 or 600. based on that Hive should be into the $3 buck range, but I have no idea of what the cost to mine is this is just a model.
Comment by Baseballfury on Dec 03, 2020 1:22pm
Argh - why do people think that challenging people to provide math for price assumptions is okay? Right because someone we have known for five minutes on a forum should expect that people will respond at their whim.  Moron - you're referencing my price prediction, but you just changed the goal posts. Nowhere in my price prediction did I say three months when quoting $16 as an EXAMPLE. I ...more

Yeah here is your math "with eth at a price of $2500" you already lost me after that first line, Eth is at $615, so you are predicting around a 400% increase. why not 500%? why not 1000%? you are just pulling numbers that dont exist out of your @ss. but anyway I can see this is one of those boards with nothing but junior investors that don't have two brain cells to rub together ...more

Okay lazy person - here are some links for the grou (again, note that I did not say three months in my original post - you're getting schooled on here so you keep changing the goal posts): Also - if you learned to read, you would note that my prediction was based on a price of $1,500. Here are some links to show that others think it is possible: What do you have? https://primexbt.com/blog ...more

ok. I will try one more time, currently HIVE is valued at around 437,000,000 350,000,000 outstanding with a share price of $1.25 = $437,000,000 with me so far? so you are saying Eth will go to $1,500 (optimistic) which is an increase of around 150%, which would make a share price of $3.25 roughly. so please explain how you get to $16 dollars? this is getting painful its like explaining the ABC ...more

ok let me exolain this dumbass the .03 profit was based on whatever was left from the cost of mining  at the time the financials. The cost of mining doesn't change only the price of coin.

Network difficultly and electricity costs stay static forever? Huh thats news to me. -Bac0n

you are thick as a brick , you can water a rock but you can't make it grow.
Comment by AlphaJ on Dec 03, 2020 1:49pm
but understand they just rocked a 73$ profit margin. That un heard of in any business. So what if costs increase. I'd be impress with a 30% margin
Comment by Baseballfury on Dec 03, 2020 2:00pm
Definitely a great point to reiterate - and from my understanding, those energy costs are locked in for awhile due to long-term contracts, so that margin should persist (or go higher depending on coin prices).
Comment by Baseballfury on Dec 03, 2020 1:43pm
OMG - how would you know what it's like to explain something to a 40-year old when you're 12? Let's say Hive never amps up their mining. Stupid assumption, but you seem to be making it, so I'll play along.  $1,500 *32,000 per quarter. Did I say dumb assumption? Still. That will results in an EPS of about $0.10 per quarter. Why? Because their mining costs are fixed for the ...more
