Bernard's email - Tesla Volvo and Silicon + Q&A on Agoracom Hi Everyone,
Peter Pascali of Pyrogenesis noted some important points in a response to a question on Agoracom.
1. That there are solar panels that use 5n and even possibly 4n+ Silicon.
2. That the PUREVAP is already making up to 3n+ silicon metal (MgSi) in our bench tests and that in itself, is a huge accomplishment.
In reference to item 2, I’d like to point out yesterday’s big news that
Volvo will stop producing new gas only engines and going all electric by 2019. It’s another testament that demand for electric cars is set to explode AND NOTE!, electric cars require a lot of Silicon Metal. For example, a Tesla car’s aluminum alloy chassis contains 10% silicon metal.
