HPQ would no longer just become an inexpensive/superior supplier, but a HUGE asset to any BIG industry portfolio. Expecting some handsome bids...
I do not understand what Bernard said necessarily as meaning a take over of HPQ, I'm thinking that it could be HPQ Nano that could be sold. Or even a take off agreement for priority on production.
Bernard says the conversation will change direction in the sense its not more about the profit, but how long do we stay independent.(partnership)
I can see an lithium ion battery exclusivity agreement if Tesla wants to buy into HPQ, would be a huge asset as they can manucature at cost vs bargaining price. This is "inside the fence" technology =)
Otherwise we will continue to consistently pushing highest $/kg and be producing 3.5MT (2nd half 2020) of silicon nano particles, 3x this years world wide production of silicon nano particles required by such ambitious vertically integrated battery manufacturer.
