HPQ has not yet modified it reactor for production of SiOx so Novacium must have obtained some small quantities for testing from elsewhere.

Now Novacium has used silicon to make the latest battery. My question is where did Novacium source the silicon? Was it purchased from a competitor or was it produced by HPQ's pilot plant that would take quartz and refine it into silicon in one continueous operation?

Has the original pilot plant been moth balled?
