Great move. I did the same earlier this year. I encourage everybody that can to fill up that TFSA before the stock price goes ballistic.

Doesn't matter what account HPQ or PYR are held in there would be no tax to pay. Only profit is taxed and neither of these companies have been profitable for investors.

Nobody invests in a TSFA and then sells in the following weeks. Maybe the most basic minimal economic knowledge could help you. You should not even be here for starts.Bashers should at least know what they are talking about and maybe do a bit of DD on the stocks that they FUD. LOL

Thinkbigsti69, There must be many shareholders and newbies you led down the garden path with your Pyro & HPQ spiel over the years. You are a fine one to talk. You are also wrong about TFSA usage, many abuse it and claim lack of knowledge - utilize the same,as a trading account. Feds are fining incorrect usage!  Good luck to all! Cheers

Instead of "basic minimal economic knowledge" it might serve an investor better to use his eyes and view the stock chart. Neither HPQ or HPQ has a chart that should entice new buyers. Of course some one very knowledgeable could turn the chart upside down to convince the newbies that they are looking at Tesla in the making.

Both HPQ and PYR 1 year technical charts
Comment by KrapShoet on Apr 16, 2024 7:00pm
Following a technical chart on a R&D company that's a penny stock really is fruitless and a waste of time. Please continue on though lol since it seems to support a narrative....... Another new poster instilling us with their insight whether we want it or not.

Spoken like a true bag holder.I would not want to look at the chart either if I owned this. But any one looking at buying need only look at the chart to scare them off.

Ok you scared me off lol. Bye bye now.  Typical paid basher lol. Shows up out of the blue for a day to school us on our ignorance.
Comment by sumpineh on Apr 17, 2024 8:15pm
Not sure why you think I am paid by anyone or that I am from "out of the blue". I posted a similar observation in May 2021.. As to your ignorance well I will only take your word for that. You have company on this BB in your views about charts and their relevence with R&D penny stocks. I can only assume that they are Bag-Holders as well who followed someone like Uncleron who is ...more

I stand corrected you were on here almost 3 years ago to post a comment out of the blue. Now to reappear....lol can't make this shite up.  btw if you were here 3 years ago and are a shareholder you're a bag holder too. Unless of course you just show up every 3 years for a stock you don't own to school everyone on charting.

You make conclusions to suit your own agenda. As it turns out I have posted as many as 10 times over more than 3 years. I did own shares around 3 years ago and fortunately got out about even at  a SP more than triple what it is now.Certainly glad about that . I am not "bashing" the stock as I still think there is potential (like PYR) but I think there will be plenty of time to jump ...more

LOL To restate the obvious - speculative r&d penny stocks are risky. By their very nature they are speculative enterprises- long term holds with a good chance of failure. But if you are lucky or smart enough to pick the right one and patient enough to wait for each duck to assume it's alloted sequential position - then oh my !
Comment by Martincat on Apr 17, 2024 3:27pm
In agreement with you entirely Gebremeskel.
Comment by dalesio_98 on Apr 15, 2024 9:27pm
I understand what you mean. However, the tax free savings account (TFSA) does not allow for capital losses, shelter from paying tax on gains. The registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) only shelters tax till you withdraw from the fund, then there is withholding tax and amount added to your income. Here as well you cannot claim capital losses. Pyro is not yet profitable, one day. As for ...more
