New KG leadership

New KG leadership

Lets just hope that all of the talk on making KG a save investment (https://eng.24.kg/business/2012/09/11/25621.html) by the new Prime Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev is real. Prime Minister Satybaldiyev says that he is against nationalization and 'excessive environmental overview'. It will take a few weeks for the government to get organized and flush out the cronies from the Kyrgyz State Geological Agency and replace with new 'experts'.

But look at how China is just throwing money at KG (https://eng.24.kg/business/2012/09/10/25606.html). I wouldn't be surprised at all to see China behind this... bribing officials to slow down the project or put to it back up for auction. Look how China has taken over Africa... that's 1.5 continents away... KG is in their backyard.

I think management has been doing things the 'Canadian way' so far. That is, quietly working away, follow the rules and politely taking all abuse.

I think it's now time to push back in the media... get some stories out on how dismal the investment environment is in KG... it isn't going to hurt the SP anymore!

This NR is a good start, but they need to keep pushing. They need to release the PFS immediately, then announce a JV partner. That will put more pressure on the KG government as the KG public will then see the potential of real jobs with real companies. A few half page ads in KG papers announcing that "Car Company X partnering with Stans and the people of KG.....".
