A Conversation with David
A Conversation with DavidFirst of all, David is very accessable by telephone. Send him an e-mail and suggest a day and time to connect. Usually, I call a day in advance and suggest times I can be available. Works every time.
Here are some things learned from my most recent conversation with DV a few days ago:
- Our lawyers are preparing a mountain of paper work for the Ontario court presentation. Everything is being translated from the Russian arbitration hearings. Good progress is being made and the company expects this to happensoon (soon = weeks)
- Stans conducted its due diligence with key investors prior to announcing the PP. DV is confident it will be fully subscribed. In other words, this was not a speculative journey undertaken by the company hoping that they could raise the $2 M.
- $2 M raised will last approx. 1 year at the present burn rate and estimated legal fees. The company is mindful of sp dilution. It is always a careful "dance" between how much or little capital is sought to take care of projected business needs.
- The Russian file is active. Due diligence on various deals is ongoing. The recent addition of Vadim Veshchezerov, the awarding of the Russian grant, the continuing engagement of VNIIHT all point to considerable levels of interest from the Russians and intensive activity on the part of Stans. Don't expect announcements on this front until a deal is signed.
My opinion is that Stans will continue to be in a state of limbo for a while to come. The risk reward ratio is high. One thing is certain and that is the future for the company and its shareholders is uncertain. And that is why we are trading in this range. Having said all this, I continue to hold a boatload of shares.
