Full credit to Stans Management and legal team on this move. Stans initiative to have both appeals heard at the same time recognizes the costliness of court time for all parties involved including the Judge. Russian courts are no different from North American courts with overcrowded dockets and overworked judges and court officials. Overlap of presentations to each of the appeals would mean additional lawyer hours and more expense. The court agreed with Stans and readily consolidated the hearings into one appearance. Perhaps, this will expedite matters in handing down a decision by the court. Whatever the decision of the Russian court, the real game will be played out in Ontario.
