RE:RE:Stans AGM
RE:RE:Stans AGMExec12
I didn't take copious notes so I can't say with certainty that they used those words, ie some compensation.
What was conveyed was a level of confidence based on the following:
1. The court ruling against Stans was based on procedure, not the merit of their case against KG.
2. There is a new legal team on the job.
3. The level of due diligence by Calunius was very extensive resulting in their funding all legal costs and enough corporate expenses to prevent bankruptcy. There is no mention of how much this represents but reading between the lines, the number is substantial. No settlement in Stans favour means no ROI and potentially a significant capital loss for the funder.
You are correct that most, if not all, of the information at the AGM is nothing new. Of course, this is in keeping with SEC rules. My goal in attending was to connect with Rodney and Boris in person and get a read of where I think they are in this whole sorry mess. Much of the conversation after the formal meeting focused on Russia and where the company is headed regardless of the court outcome. I was left with the impression that Boris is not standing still with his hands in his pockets. Rod pointed out that there are successful Canadian mining companies in Russia right now despite geopolitical conditions. Why not Stans? Well there's likely millions of reasons ($) but at least they are looking up and not down.
