RE:RE:How much is the contract forIt is interesting to note that Canadas participation in this program, the most expensive aircraft program ever, is contingent on economic feedback to Canada. Though our prospective purchase of 65 units is paltry compared to the 2500 envisioned by the US and around 4-6000 total for all involved countries, a contract like this awarded to a canadian company may very well contribute to our remaining with the program through to its fruition.(though the production, as far as I can see, will take place in the wilmington MA facility )Unfortunately, it will be some time until production reaches anywhere near the total forecast, as the US is accepting piecemeal annual orders that are getting cut as they get nearer, (8 aircraft have been cut from the next scheduled batch to a total of 34.) Of greater interest is getting a foot in the door for other military and civilian deals. Strength, weight and price of this alloy will get us hopefully into the Aftermarket airframe components market, a great opportunity. We will see.
