Canada has already surpassed the U.S. with its EV battery supply chain, as ranked by Bloomberg. Given Canada’s significant spodumene lithium reserves- the largest in the Americas – and its steadfast support from all levels of government, it’s evident why it has secured large investments from investors seeking to cash into the EV transition.

European investors, among others, are investing in Canadian lithium due to its market potential and ability to supply to North American and European EV battery makers at a competitive rate. Canada is already home to several billion-dollar EV battery cell factories built by European automakers and battery suppliers, with a new one seemingly being announced every month this year
