Shine N' Ripe economicsthis is an independent study that was done on SNR by Florida Research Center for Agricultural Sustainability
https://stlucie.ifas.ufl.edu/pdfs/citrus/2017/ADAIR%20Presentation%20MRM.pdf
- compares SNR to bare ground and mulch
- study was done on grapefruit trees, 15 plots over 10.4 acres
- they observed a 90% increase in yield from the MRM treatment
- the increase in yield consisted of both an increase in number of fruit and size
- using the Shine N’ Ripe costs more, the cost of the product is $457/acre but there is additional herbicide, burn, rolling, installation and planting cost
- with 3 year amortization of SNR conclusion is that the SNR application has far better economics than bare ground or compost, even with the extra cost, there is detailed comparison on slide 31-21
