RE: 2008 Global.....Technological ADVANCESAround the 27-28 minute a question gets asked regarding new technologies to find diamond sources today.
Briefly they talked about the new technology for the helicopter AIRBORNE survey that was developed in cooperation with BHP at the North West Territories Akati Diamond Mine.
It’s my understanding the $1.2 million spent last year by Iciena to fly the Brazil ICIENA CLAIMS was flown utilizing this new state-of-the-art technology.
Interesting listening to them (3 competitors one could say) talk about the importance of the Indicator Minerals, the Large stones found in BRAZIL rivers and then to hear the entire panel recognize the new advances made in the TECHNOLOGY for airborne surveying. This is a whole new way at looking at the properties and was tested or calibrated using known diamond-bearing kimberlite.
Very very interesting – you didn’t hear Chuck talk about this new TECHNOLOGY but the others made a real point to mention it… “The cats out of the bag”
