Just a quick comment. I know that a lot of you can't see the value of real-time language translation, I've heard things like "how often do i need to communicate with someone in a different language?" amongst other various concerns. Here's a little quote that might help put things into context for you:

It's okay if you don't have a vision for the future -- most people don't. Just don't be upset if you knew about this all along, and it turns out to be the proverbial "boat".
