Kodiak does not have access to capital to build out a huge mine. Or the operational expertise. They have to prove up enough high grade resource to jump start the opportunity for Teck to build a mine more quickly. Advantage to Teck is they do not carry the long exploration phase and those costs on their financial statements and they have spent relatively little if the resource is not commercial ...more
