RE: If nobody is mining heavy REE'sThis is my guess as to what Dacha is doing.
Dacha is buying their REE elements within China and storimg most of them in Korea and some in China.
China`s production is fractured with many small producers each unable to amass commercially sizable inventories necessary to build consistent and economic trading relationships. Dacha steps in to fill that role and aggragates supply by acquiring metals from all these small producers below market spot prices and also benefiting from rising prices. Being the only supply aggragrator in China, and the world for that matter, puts Dacha in a position take a large share of the export quota imposed by China.
Also, sales within China will be at spot market prices as we saw with its last sale.
Here is what Dacha says on their web site:
``TheCorporation's primary objective is to achieve, through its wholly-ownedsubsidiaries, long-term capital appreciation through the buying, holding and selling of Strategic Minerals, particularly, Rare EarthElements, which are predominantly supplied by China. The Corporationseeks to achieve this objective by investing in difficult to accessmarkets by establishing trading relationships and purchasing stockpilesof Strategic Minerals. An investment in the Corporation provides aninvestment alternative for investors interested in gaining exposure toStrategic Minerals without the risks inherent to mining companies.``
