RE:Court orderThis WOULD have been a good move if they did not file their application to contest the decision with THE HIGH COURT OF NAMIBIA and instead filed their legal dispute with the INTERNATIONAL COURTS OF SETTLEMENTS. Like i mentioned before, filing a legal motion to contest the deicsion WITHIN the Namibian legal system was just plain dumb on the behalf of Deep South mgmt and a BIG waste of time. The Namibians aren't the brighest people on this green earth and as all third world African nation who use their Gov't powers, brute force and ludicrous loopholes & technicalities to steal assets away from foreign investors AFTER having made a large investment to develope those properties. Especially easy targets & easy pickings such as Canadian investors & companies. Who are considered extreme pacifists who will do anything to avoid conflicts, whether physical, political or LEGAL.
The thinking here by the Namibians, just incase some of you aren't in the loop, is that the Namibian Gov't is betting that Deep South just abandon the project to avoid conflict AND the financial consequences of a VERY lengthy, dragged out legal process which could be in limbo for years. I could keep on talking and expanding this conversation but i guess most of you already got the message here. This is why you avoid investments in these third wolrd areas or Banana Republics if you will........trying REALLY HARD to avoid using the S word again here with these African nations.....but you all understand i hope.
So for the 10th time, if anyone has a contact at Deep South's mgmt. Please convey the message that they're wasting time & money by going the route they've chosen and should have gone directly to International courts. The Namibian Gov't won't let this process go down easy....they will delay the appeal as long as possible AND then hand pick their judge when it's finally for a final ruling. Just amazed Deep South mgmt don't see it for what it is.
Good Luck & God speed
