Hi Don.

I hope all is well. Great Job getting some interest going.

Q. Would the process in the attached video below be similar to what we would require for our properties ? Its the same Lithium Clay stone as ours from Enertopia who have a small amount of land to the North of our Dean Project and West of Noram . They are using Genises Water Technologies and appear to be getting somewhere.
Best, Garry

Good morning Garry,

TOP video in my opinion demonstrates why these claystone are not hectorite clays. The best analogy I can use to describe hectorite is the difference between a clay bowl before it goes into a kiln versus after it comes out of the kiln. If you put the clay bowl into a bucket of water before it’s been in a kiln it’s going to start to dissolve. If you put same bowl in a bucket of water after it’s been in a kiln it will remain a bowl. This is significant but mining the Li still requires the economic extraction of the Li from the solution that has been created leaving the other elements in that solution behind. This is what we refer to as a synthetic brine. Mother Nature didn’t create it, we did by adding water. Cypress CEO Bill Willoughby is overseeing Cypress’ extraction work at both US and Canadian labs. Others out there are also working on solutions to best separate or extract the Li.
