RE:Lithium shares sink on Orocobre news...by BMO analysts

RE:Lithium shares sink on Orocobre news...by BMO analystsHonestly - these analysts.... like the Morgan Stanley one that came to half truths. They could all come online immediately and it wouldn't meet anywhere close to what's needed for electrification.

BMO wants cheapies.

Hold the line nice and steady now.

I would think that this news was partly responsible for the lithium share drop seen today, they sure like to predict a year down the road, just like Morgan Stanley a few years back.

Lithium shares sink as Orocobre considers mine expansion

Jan. 27, 2021 12:26 PM ETLithium Americas Corp. (LAC)By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor10 Comments
  • Lithium stocks slide deeply into the red after Australia's Orocobre said a stage 3 scoping study into a further expansion at its Olaroz mine in Argentina will start during the current quarter.
  • Orocobre says the study will investigate options for additional production of 25K-50K tons/year from Olaroz, Cauchari or a combination, leveraging existing stage 2 and 3 infrastructure.
  • Among relevant tickers: LAC -7.2%, ALB -5.8% SQM -3.3%, LTHM -0.3%.
  • "2021 lithium fundamentals look strong, but a large wave of supply seems on tap around year-end and into 2022," BMO analysts say.
  • Lithium Americas is set to become a major producer in the industry, as lithium demand will outstrip supply over the long term, Austin Craig writes in a bullish analysis posted recently on Seeking Alpha.
