RE: RE: RE: Revenue Model Question?...I agree with your statement 100% chalkmarks:
"Personally, I'll be happier when the company can distance itself even more from subsidies."
Who wants to invest in a company that heavily relies on Government funding or subsidies in order to survive. That to me is not a business model for any commercial business and is not the way a democratic nation should work and strive for.
Business is an enterprise that should be profitable without assistance from Government. The only funding that IMO is acceptable is during the R&D stage when new technology is being created. After that, a business should be self-sufficient and profitable without government help.
To date most foodstock based ethanol producers are all failures, because they do not have a profitable business model. They rely on Government subsidies for their business to survive, and that is coming to an end.
Producing ethanol from cellulosic feedstock may not be profitable yet, but the world needs to rid itself of the toxic chemicals from oil based derivatives, and that market can be replaced by HP-L Lignin. That market is worth $2 billion by Lignol's estimates, and penetrating a healthy share of that would propel LEC stock into the multiples, IMO. atb
